3 Funky Bedroom Additions That’ll Make A Real Difference

Sometimes, your bedroom can feel like quite a limited place.

Aside from a bed, some drawers, a closet and a dresser, there’s not a lot you can really add to it. Well, let me rephrase that; there’s not a lot you THINK you can add to it.

In this post, we’ll look at some funky additions to your bedroom that’ll make a real difference. Some of these aren’t usually seen here, while others are quirky additions that work really well. Check them all out, right here, right now:

A Couch

Couches are traditionally reserved for the living room, but there’s no law that means you can’t have one in the bedroom! What’s gonna happen? The police aren’t exactly going to raid your home and demand you move it. I think they work exceptionally well in bedrooms as they give you an extra place to sit and relax away from your bed.

Plus, as these Sofamania reviews show you, companies have a real variety of colors and sizes available. A small love seat is ideal for a bedroom as it takes up hardly any space. Or, go extra comfortable with a plush armchair! It may seem unconventional, but trust me when I say that the relaxation levels will be taken to staggering new heights.

Smart Bulbs

Smart bulbs look like standard light bulbs but have the added technology of connecting to mobile devices. As a result, you can turn the light off or on, adjust the brightness, and even change the color. As you can imagine, this is a welcome addition to any bedroom.

You can pick and choose the glow of the light to create different moods, and you can set timers, so it turns on in the morning when your alarm goes off. This helps wake you up, so it’s a practical addition as well! There are loads of brands that sell them, and some are more advanced than others. For me, it’s the best tech addition you can make to your bedroom.

Hidden Storage

Hands up if you struggle to keep your room tidy because there’s a lack of storage space? Yep, all of you put your hands up, I knew it! It’s a problem we all have, and there’s usually a predicament where you physically can’t fit more storage in your room without taking up all the space. Instead, my idea is to create hidden storage in your bedroom.

This is something of an interior design hack, but you could build space inside your walls. It’s relatively easy for a competent contractor to do, and you can get additional cupboard space inside the walls themselves. Or, for a simpler option, purchase storage compartments that you can slide under your bed or wardrobe. Regardless, think of ideas that bring more storage into your bedroom without actually taking up more room space!

If you’re interested in making a few additions to your bedroom, then here are a few that are slightly outside the box. They’re a little bit funky, but I believe they’ll make a real impact in your bedroom and take it to a whole new level.
