If you’re drowning with running your home, don’t. Just stop – right now. Stand back, put the laundry basket down, and ask for help. Get your partner to help out more, call your mom, get a cleaner. Commandment #4: Automation
Next, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re bringing in modern amenities. Smart home appliances exist for a reason. But of all else, you absolutely need to be flexible. If you are so rigid and so stuck in your routine, you may find that it’s going to be tough for you when something goes wrong. Because it will. You may have an appointment, a vacation, or you may even have a home emergency like the boiler breaking. You may also just want to make plans with friends. So you need to be flexible about running your home. Sometimes the dishes can wait and you’ll have to skip a laundry load – but things won’t fall apart. Remember that.
