Transform Your Bathroom Into A Luxury Spa

Your bathroom shouldn’t just be a functional space where you brush your teeth and shower, it should be a place to pamper yourself and relax after a long day; it should be your personal luxury spa.

You might be looking at your bathroom right now and thinking there’s no way it could ever come close to being as tranquil as your favorite spa. It isn’t going to be as bag or offer as many treatments, nor will it have expensive massage therapists at your service. But that doesn’t mean it can’t beĀ almost as good at those spas. Try out some of these ways to transform your bathroom – no matter big or small! – into a luxury spa space of your own.

Make it more private.

If your bathroom is unattached from the bedroom, you can skip this step and move on to the next. But if your bathroom is an en-suite and it’s got an open layout to where you can’t just shut the door on it, you’ll want to change that. The best thing about spas is the quiet privacy. Hang a curtain, fit a door, or even build a partial wall that enables you to keep the bathroom apart from the rest of the home as much as possible.

Invest in a tankless water heater.

Serious about relaxation? Look into tankless water heater installation so that you can benefit from hot water that is always available and at the optimal temperature. You wouldn’t be happy if you visited a spa and had to wait a while for the water to heat up, so why settle for that at home?

Improve the presentation.

The average bathroom is a hectic place. There are lotions and countless bottles spilling out from shelves and in the shower, towels that have been left on the floor, and a lot of general clutter. In a spa, a cluttered space leads to a cluttered mind. Relaxation can be hard to come by in those cases. So head to the bathroom and start improving the decor by removing any unnecessary clutter. Then decant your potions into pretty glass bottles that look better than heavily labeled plastic containers, and line them up so they are all neatly stored. Hang towels on racks or roll them carefully into decorative baskets and make sure that the general presentation of your bathroom is pristine. This will help you to let go and relax when you spend time in there.

Turn your bath into a jacuzzi.

Can’t afford to replace the tub with the one you dream of? There are a lot of products that you can pop in the bath that will turn it into an extremely soothing makeshift jacuzzi. Invest in one and use it!

Use a lot of candles.

Last but not least, freshen up your bathroom with some sweet aromas! Invest in high-quality essential oil candles and place them liberally around the room. Try for some scents that tend to promote relaxation such as lavendar, vanilla, and eucalyptus.

Turning your bathroom into a personal spa is much easier than you thought, isn’t it? What other methods do you recommend? Tell us in the comments!
